Trump Invites Putin to Attend G20 Summit

Al-Taj News – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that US President Donald Trump invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to participate in the G20 summit scheduled to be held in Miami in December.

The move comes amid stalled US efforts to reach an agreement to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine, while Trump stresses that he is working with both sides to stop the war.

Rubio told reporters in New York, “In order to solve problems, you have to meet with people you disagree with or with whom you may have differences, and that is why we invited President Putin to the G20.”
